WHAT TO DRINK: A Ginjinha at A Ginjinha
Sip the sweet morello-cherry liqueur in this old kiosk opposite the atmospheric church, São Domingos. A Ginjinha opened in 1840 and was the first place to commercialize this classic Lisbon liqueur, which used to be given to children as a cure for all sorts of complaints. You can have your shot with an alcohol-soaked cherry at the bottom or without.
