R&K co-founder and Key West native Nathan Thornburgh will host the evening together with Chef Martha Hubbard.

What a powerful way to support our local immigrant community, bringing people together through food.”

— Key West Immigrant Support Network

“The Key West I grew up in was a fiercely independent, eclectic island that stood up for its neighbors and stood tall against outside interference,” says R&K co-founder Nathan Thornburgh. “I’m proud to help support the KW Immigrant Support Network in their mission to keep the hardworking immigrant families of Key West safe.”

Martha Hubbard is a renowned executive chef whose culinary journey has taken her around the world. After attending the New England Culinary Institute, she worked in acclaimed kitchens from Napa Valley and San Francisco to Hawaii and across the South Pacific and Asia. She brought her talents to Key West in 2001, serving as opening sous chef at 915 and later leading the kitchen at the Upperdeck at Louie’s Backyard. Today, she continues to shape the island’s culinary scene as culinary curator for Isle Cook Key West and as chef at William’s Hall.

Nathan Thornburgh co-founded Roads & Kingdoms in 2012 and ran the independent media company with Anthony Bourdain and co-founders Matt Goulding and Doug Hughmanick for years, winning numerous awards, including a Primetime Emmy and a National Magazine Award. In recent years, R&K launched the League of Travelers, offering small-group culinary journeys, and R&K Insiders, a membership program that includes a new print magazine and digital editorial. The Anti-ICE Supper Club is the successor to the Banned Countries Dinners they launched in 2017 with Anthony Bourdain and chefs from the Somali, Persian, and Syrian diasporas. Nathan’s first job in journalism was as a high school intern for Richard Hatch at the Key West Citizen.
