Description
Presented by Roads & Kingdoms, The Anti-ICE Supper Club is a series of fundraising dinners in support of local organizations defending communities under attack—our small but vital contribution to the fight for immigrant America.
We wrap our time in the City of Brotherly Love with a cocktail party at East Kensington favorite Post Haste, a restaurant and bar with a farm-to-glass beverage philosophy and a focus on regional sourcing. Come have a good time for a good cause while enjoying inventive cocktails and bites, including deviled eggs, billion-layer lasagna bites, fried pickled veggies, and croquettes. Amy’s Pastelillos will offer vegan options, and Cake Life Bake Shop will take care of dessert.
When: Thursday, June 4th, 6:00 – 9:00 pm
Where: Post Haste: 2519 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia
Tickets: $120, includes passed food + one drink; additional drinks available for purchase
Net proceeds benefit: Juntos, a community-led, Latine immigrant organization in South Philadelphia fighting for human rights as workers, parents, and youth. Through grassroots organizing and leadership development, Juntos works to build long-term power in the neighborhood, giving community members the tools to fight their own oppression and live with dignity regardless of immigration status. If you cannot attend, but would like to support, please donate here.
“Restaurants are an expression of community… ICE violates this sanctity. So we unite against it.”
— Ari Miller, Post Haste
“Our staff of servers, cooks, dishwashers, and runners make the operation possible, alongside the butchers, farmers, and makers who provide the ingredients,” says executive chef Ari Miller. “Our guests spend their precious time and money in exchange for hospitality that meets them where they are, in spite of the world that continues to spin outside our doors,” he continues. “We are proud to partner with Roads & Kingdoms to host this dinner and raise critical funds for the ongoing fight for immigrant justice.”
Post Haste is a neighborhood restaurant and bar in Philadelphia led by owner and bar director Fred Beebe and executive chef Ari Miller. The restaurant brings together an ingredient-driven kitchen and an award-winning bar program through a shared philosophy centered on thoughtful sourcing, regional producers, and creative, low-waste practices. The cocktail program has earned national recognition from publications including Esquire and Punch for its focus on East Coast spirits and locally grown citrus alternatives.
Ari Miller is the executive chef of Post Haste. He previously was the chef-owner of Musi, named one of Eater’s Best New Restaurants in America, and the executive chef at the Rosewood Hotel in Washington, D.C. for Wolfgang Puck. Ari brings a style of cooking rooted in seasonality, technique, and community. Post Haste offers dinner, happy hour, and late-night dining alongside a rotating local art program, reflecting a distinctly Philadelphia perspective on hospitality, food, and drink.
Nathan Thornburgh co-founded Roads & Kingdoms in 2012 and ran the independent media company with Anthony Bourdain and co-founders Matt Goulding and Doug Hughmanick for years, winning numerous awards, including a Primetime Emmy and a National Magazine Award.
