Next week, as they do on the 28th of every month, the indigent, the addicts, the forlorn and the faithful will arrive at Mexico City’s San Hipólito Church to ask favor from St. Jude Thaddaeus, Patron Saint of Lost Causes. Mexico City-based photographer Keith Dannemiller has been witness to these public supplicants, who often carry their saint’s statue alongside a little yellow bottle of PVC cleaner so they can huff and get high.
