Three Times the Highland Games

Today’s fiercely fought vote on Independence isn’t the only competition in Scotland this season. One of our favorite street photographers, Glasgow-based Dougie Wallace, spent late summer stalking three of the great Highland Games in Scotland: the Rothesay games on the Isle of Bute (with both shinty and junior shinty), the Dunoon Cowal Highland Gathering at the end of August (this year featuring the Clan Mountain Bike Stunt team), plus the Pitlochry Highland Games (with Perthshire Tug o’War, triple jump, Junior Piping League) on September 12.

Find more of Wallace’s Highland Series here. His Road Wallah series is currently on display at Photoville Brooklyn.
