Stuart Freedman is a writer and photographer based between London and New Delhi. He has worked in more than sixty countries but still finds London endlessly fascinating. He grew up in a long demolished Dalston tower‑block a very long time before Hackney became the hippest place in the world. The eel pie and mash shops‑along with street markets and greasy‑spoon cafes‑were the backdrop to his childhood
