Clair MacDougall is a journalist and writer who lives in Monrovia, Liberia. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, Newsweek, Time, Foreign Policy, Vogue and others. She was awarded the Kurt Schork Memorial Fund Award for her coverage of the Ebola outbreak and is currently writing a book about West Point and a community of ex‑combatants and gronnah people who live there
