Bnar Sardar
was born in Dukan, Iraqi Kurdistan. She fled to Iran in 1991 during Saddam Hussein’s Anfal campaign, becoming a refugee herself. She started taking photos professionally in 2009 and is now a member of Iraq’s only independent photo agency, Metrography
