Can I change or cancel my membership?

Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime directly from your account page. Changes go into effect after the current billing cycle.

Is payment recurring?

Yes. Memberships renew automatically every month or year, depending on your plan. You can cancel anytime before renewal.

When will the print magazine ship?

The first annual issue ships in early December to Conspirators and Fellow Travelers. Order now to receive it by the holidays.

Can I buy a single copy of the magazine?

Yes. A limited number of single copies can be purchased in our online store.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship worldwide, though delivery times and costs vary depending on your location. You’ll see exact rates at checkout.

Do you offer gift memberships

Not currently but we’re working on it!

Can I switch from monthly to annual billing (or vice versa)?

Yes. If you’re a member of the Insider tier, you can change your billing frequency anytime in your account settings.

Where does my membership money go?

Directly toward independent journalism, fair pay for contributors, membership programming, and sustaining Roads & Kingdoms’ food, travel, and politics coverage. Contributor and Fellow Traveler member fees help fund the Anti-ICE Supper Club, which supports immigrant communities currently under threat.

What’s the Anti-ICE Supper Club?

In the vein of our old Banned Countries Dinners from Trump I, we will be bringing people together several times a year for supper-club-style gatherings that highlight the incredible contributions to our food culture of immigrants now under threat, while raising money for their protection. The program will be released when membership kicks off in 2026. 

 

What is the travel bank and how do I use it?

If you’re a Fellow Traveler, half your annual fee ($1,000) becomes travel credit that can be applied toward any R&K Trip within five years of purchase. To redeem, contact our travel team when booking.

How does the Founders Trip work?

The Founders Trip is structured and priced similarly to a League of Travelers journey, but it’s accessible only to members at our Fellow Travelers tier. What else is different? One or both of the R&K founders will be there, in addition to a host and a local guide. We’ll pull out a few more bells, whistles, and surprises. At least in this first year, we’re expecting the group to be small enough that we can do our best to find dates that work for everyone.

I’ve traveled with R&K before. Does that make me a member?

If you’ve traveled with us, you are a valued member of the League of Travelers, but to unlock editorial and new membership perks, you’ll need to join one of the paid tiers.

How do I update my email preferences?

Use the “Manage email preferences” link at the bottom of any R&K email to update your settings or unsubscribe.

How do you handle member data and privacy?

We don’t sell or share your data. Your information is used only to manage your membership and communications.
